Nelson Were Lucky
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Nelson Rep.) NELSON received a shake on Saturday, when the representatives met Buller In a challenge match for the- Seddon Shield, the Nelsonians having all the luck to win by 11 points to 6. Buller brought a strong forward team, including the ex-League player, Goodall, who shone out at the head of forward rushes several times. The visiting forwards dominated the play for the greater part of the game, keeping the ball from the Nelson backs till near the end of the game. The home backs forgot what'to do with 'the ball for when opportunities came their. way they were next door to useless. The youthful Buller centre, Ed. Holder, showed Nelson a point or two ■when he beat Wells, his vis-a-vis, early m the game and streaked m for 'a try from 'half-way. Nelson's first five-eighths, _ NobleAdams, was weak on attack,' forgetting that he had a line of ball-hungry backs outside him. . Snodgrass should have taken his coat oh to the ground to keep himself warm, so little did the ball come his way.
