WILLIAM GREY, recently retired from the town clerkship of,«Hun-teL-ville, is as. white as- the proverbial '.'driven snow." ■■ For the past 79 years he has been an honor to the land where he has toiled and spun, and his is a wonderful rer cord. . In the Maori wars he served with distinction and m the police force was an officer of no mean ability. Over; a quarter of a. century ago he became Hunterville's "man m blue" , and : "Bobby" Grey, as he is popularly known, earned respect from old and young. He had the happy knack of , tempering the written law with an i abundance "of common-sense.
