/IN^enquiry about the cleaning of " snake- skin shoes is to hand. Most reliable shoe creams seldom fail, to remove all stains, but if the shoes have oil,- marks" on them or are otherwise beyond cleaning, try darkening them with tan or brown bobt polish. An even' stain will be the -result and all stains will be hidden. Snake-skin shoes with a lightweight. sole will continue to be worn during the summer. They are splendid wearing, and, worn with the more severe type of frock, look well for street wear. The correct, stocking to wear \ with these shoes should not be "* grey; flesh- colored hose that verge on to pink look very much smarter.
