"EVERY MAN^MUST^ DO MIS " ■ : :"■ DUTY" •'" ■• .::. ':-:-V "''V :
The Hon. A.. J ; -:Stallworthy,' Minister of Health, stated recently that the Government and Public Health De-: partment were fully alive to the situation ' regarding the introduction of the scourge of Influenza which is now raging m other lands, that the situation is being carefully watched and that every 'effort will be made to pre^ vent a repetition of the terrible 1918 epidemic. \-. It. is. only possible, however, with the cb-operatioh of every member of the community and the cTose ; attention to every slight c<sld or sore throat. During the last epidemic' we were ham- . pgred by a want of knowledge and precedent, hut this time . we " are favoured with the experience ' which proved so costly m 1918. A gargle with "Fluehzol" every morning is the surest way of dealing with the disease germ. There is no '' doubt . the' only way to contract this disease is through "the nasal passages and the throat. Prevention therefore Is simple with a preparation like "Fluenzol'' handy m every home. Gargle "Fluenzol" every morning before eating 6r drinking. . At the first sign of a cold or a sore throat realise the seriousness of possible developments, and follow > three simple rules, ViZ. ' ■ ■ • -.. ; 1. Pour a little "Fluenzol" into the palm of the hand and; allow it to remain there until slightly warmed. Then vigorously sniff the liquid up the nostrils, throwing the head well back so that the "fluenzol" can reach and sterilise the nasal cavity. 2. Gargle the throat about every half hour until , the infection is passed. ";. • :.--.'■ ■-'■'■ ■-' ,■■ ■ _'■.'■ 3. Take one teaspoonful of "Fluenzol" internally, gargling momentarily.
