All The Best In The Land There
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) Of the forty-three entered for the Easter Handicap Mile at Ellerslie no fewer than fourteen hail from other parts. THESE include the best that can be found and the majority will be seen m action at Trentham and Manawatu, and form displayed at those fixtures should throw some light on the northern handicap., Nevertheless, there are 'others located at home which have, hopes of gathering in -the rich stake— among them being Aussie,; Branson, Flying Juliet, Awarere,. Royal Doulton, "VaUiir, Liaison, and Lorient 11. v It is satisfactory to know that the three place-fillers of last year In the- Shade, Awarere and Great Charter — are all engaged, while the presence of most class winners is noted. . The northern Easter Mile is, like the Thompson at Trentham, among the most interesting contests of Dominion events and this autumn's mile winner Avill take some finding.
