The first time J.D. handled a baton it was as the youthful .conductor of a Roslyn choir. Six years ago, he took over the conductorship of the St. Kilda Band, and with a margin of eleven , points m the recent New Zealand title event, the personnel of. the St. Kilda Band has something of which to be proud.
