Ramblin' Kid Has
Improved
i (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland Rep.) h There is no more improved hurX dler racing up north than Ramf blln' Kid. f LIE got m too light when he started > 1 1 off his winning trot at Te Kuiti m the late spring, and since then ran r away with a couple of flat races at a non-tote fixture before pouncing on 4 Bllerslie at the close of the summer carnival to trounce a hurdle field over 1 two miles. Next he bobs up at Te Aroha with J a second and a first over "hurdles, and , there was not a semblance of a fluke ' about the manner m which he settled > Qala Day at a leeway of only 31bs. r He fairly worried Gala Day out * of the first money, on which ishow- » ing the tendency to under-rate r Ramblin' Kid may be absolutely •* false. . It is against him that he has toeen J known to bleed, but at Te, Aroha the struggle was severe enough to find out a weak spot, if such existed. . He appears to be suited m all classes of going and has the necessary pace A.o pay his way among the hurdle class fcJUi sight up north.
