And After Big Game, Too (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Aucicland Rep.) Walter Garrett has had too much experience -at racing to know not what he is doing. CTILL, he sprung a bit of a surprise on Aucklanders recently, when he took Zircon off to Australia m quest of big money. As a matter of fact, he grave it out before quitting 'these shores that he is after nothing less than the Great Eastern Steeplechase at 'Onkaparinga. Most people were beginning, to' think Zircon had. gone past his best, but Walter has had the chestnut m hand, long enough to know that there must be some life left m the aged 'chaser. Garrett also knows what jumping ability is required to master the Onkaparinga country, for h« went there last year with Sir Roseberry and saw for, himself. " As for Zircon, he is a winner over I big country, though last season a second and third only m five starts was the best he could manage.
