STILL WINNING
Now Three In Line For Pink Coat (From "N.Z. Truth's" Christchurch Rep.) When Jim Samson parted with Pink Coat for 1000 guineas, he sold the best horse he ever had. POLLOWING up his xmbeaten record, *■ ' he won the' Middle Park Plate at Riccarton m most decisive fashion. When he won the Champagne Stakes at Dunedin the field opposed to him was poor, but at Riccarton he disposed of a fair class three- ' year-old m Goblin Market. He was always out m front with Goblin Market and Rigmarole, and just inside the false rail two furlongs from home he set to with Goblin Market and raced stride for stride for a furlong, when he drew out slightly and maintained a long neck advantage to the post. He stayed on. impressively. It was a first-class performance, run m fast time, and, with Honpur m Sydney, the C.J.C. Champagne Stakes m the autumn will be a sitter for him. This will most likely be his . only other race as a two-year-old, and he has only to Tteep right to be one of the I winter favorites, for the Derby. ■■ {
