Royal Fruit Mould

Ingredients — Pieces stale bread, lib. fresh fruit, raspberries, strawberries, etc. 3 or 4ozs. sugar,, % Pint water. Method— Line a pie-dish or basin with stale slices' of bread, stew the fruit with water and sugar, put into the basin while hot, and cover with stale bread. When cold, turn out and serve with either custard or cream.
