Health For All
ONE of the biggest problems of modern cities is that involved m the matter of sanitation and health. New Zealand gave, to the world its first Minister of Health, and if it is proud of this , department and/ the work it does, there is reason for it to be so. Well to the fore m the work is J. Cowdrey, the chief inspector for the Wellington district. A genial fellow,, he spends his time with the major problems m health that confront the public, but his wide knowledge has given him a versatility which has called him all over New Zealand. At the recent conference hfild -m Wellington, J.C. delivered an inU'.; eating lecture on health and cocij-l hynriene. If he has a hobby it is growing grapes and letting his friends sample them when they come a- visiting.
