Logan Park Does Trick (By "The Toff.") After both had been driven hurricane races m the Palmer Handicap, the judge was unable to separate Black Admiral and Logan Park at Petone on Saturday. DLACK ADMIRAL, began quickly and clapped on the pace. With two furlong's traversed, he was five lengths clear of Epigram and Jean McElwyn. Racing through the stretch Jackie Audubon ran up to Jean McElwyn, the pair being within three lengths of Black Admiral. Once straightened for the dash over the final half-mile Logan Park flew past Ahuriri, Jackie Audubon and Epigram and just before -the mile was completed he gathered Black Admiral. Then the battle 1 started. Black Admiral was still m front fifty yards from home when Tomkinson made a final and desperate call upon Logan Park. The gelding" made a supreme effort and got up. m time to dead-heat with Black Admiral. To concede Black Admiral 48 yards over v a mile and a-quarter journey was a wonderful performance on the part of Logan. Park.
