LJAD M. B. Edwards- been patient *" * . with Rafa over the .first haiL-mile he would have won the February Handicap. He stepped his last two furlongs m 33secs. and gained second money. , Logan's Pride is one of the real types of Logan Pointer pacers th.it will go on to win m decent company. He lost several lengths through interference at the start of the February Handicap aiid then won m an airy manner, after compassing his. last halfmile m 1.6. His dam, Miss Havoc, was speedy,, but she could not stay. Judged by Logan Pride's finishing effort on Saturday two miles should not trouble him when he becomes thoroughly seasoned. Rafa's second effoVt 'was an endorsement to his Dunedin form. He breaks for nothing. In his track work he goes solidly, but frets fussed up when the colors are hoisted. Nonsuit got well away and had every chance m the February Handicap, but tired after going nine furlongs. Later m the afternoon he came out and won the Taita Novice Handicap of a 'mile and a-quarier. His success Avas due to the careful manner m which he was handled by R. B. Berry. Nonsuit is owned by F. Johnston, a member of the legal profession, hence the gelding's name. Nonsuit is a five-year-old pacer by Logan Pointer from Fanny Dillon and provided unsoundness does not put him m the paddock he will win a sprint race. m iiiiniiiiiiiiiiiim iinii!ii]iiiiiiiiiiiiiii]iiiiiiiiiii!iiiiiiiiiii;<iii mmmtmumi
