THEY SUCCEED
Big Money At The Sales The -national yearling sales held at Trentham last week can only be termed a success. COR Wright, Stephenson and Chisholm's they 'were a great success, but Pyrie, Gould, Guinness and Inglis were not m such a happy position. That Pyne. and Inglis had to sell first was not to their benefit. Then again they did not have the choice lots to excite bidding, but to them credit is due for the good prices received for the untried Arausio's stock. . A n_w record was established when 2400 guirieas was given for the Limond — Waterwings colt, Viv. Riddiford staying too long for T. H. Lowry, G. D. Greenwood and Ned Moss. The colt, on appearances, will . be easier to train than Honour and Agrion have proved, for he is not the heavytopped type. George Currie also got over the thousand with Comrhendation's - arid Honour's sisters,' while John Donald also received four figures for a Chief Ruler — Rosellate colt. A point the auctioneers might well consider before the next sale is the holus bolus rush indulged m when the catalogues are produced. Some charge — say two shillings each — would m a ..manner- stop- them' from getting into the wrorig hands. The thanks of the Press are tendered to Manager Robertson for his kindly services.
