SMART TRIO
Dunedin Classic Field (Frm "N.Z. Trutli's" Christchurch Rep.) ."• There is a probability of this year's Hazlett Memorial, run on the second day at.W.ingatui next month, containing a doughty trio m Limerick, Rapier an.d. Silver Paper. T-IMERICK has been given plenty of work recently, arid, appears to be thriving on brisk sprinting tasks. If all goes well with : him- — ahd it appears to be at present — he will be given a pipe-opener m the Hazlett Memorial, a race he won with ridiculous ease last year. . • f He looks lusty and bright, and if he runs up to anything •like form he will again be shipped, to Sydney to take on Gothic, at the Easter carnival at Randwick. - - If present intentions are carried out he will be opposed m the Dunedin classic by Rapier' and Silver Paper. Rapier, through lack of racing, was not nominated for the Wellington Cup', but will run on the second and third days of the Trentham -.meeting, following which he will contest the Dunedin Cup should his Wellington form warrant it. . . - v ;' . ■'•;. On the second day he will probably be started against Limerick m the Hazlett Memorial. . Silver Paper, which won the Dune-, din Guineas, lost his form at the Riccavton Cup. meeting, but registered an impressive performance at Awapuni m beating the Criterion and Derby winners, -Arrow Lad and Nightmarch, very decisively.
