January 1 last was their golden wedding, which was joyfully celebrated m Dunedin by an assembly of relations and friends to wish the dear old couple Heaven's guidance along the span to their next matrimonial milestone : — their diamond wedding. And as the "bride" cut the cake, one could not help but recall the wonder of those words — "The sacred academy of man's life is holy wedlock m a' happy wife."
