Fluffy
THE frivolity attendant upon ostrich •"• feather and marabout trimmings Is absent from this year's collection of evening frocks, but its place has been taken by the prevalent fashion of "bits and pieces" or georgette and chiffon. The latest skirts seen on New Zealand dance floors have trailing backs of small diamond- shaped flounces that give a graceful. effect, and are delicate enough to be worn with safety by either the ""sweet 'young thing" or the amateur golfer. Other fluffinesses within the reach Of every dancer are the full tulle Bkirts, or, the spotted net ones, made of the kind of veiling that our grandmothers .'■ used to wear oh their hats to protect their unpowdered faces 1 from the sun and wind. Softness of material is one 'of the great gifts that the revolution m the mode has given to us, after a few seasons of more or less stiff velvets and taffetas.
