DIG BERTHA was at Takapuna, but did not face the starter. She appeared to be going all right m her track work, but possibly her party did not fancy the short price they were about to receive. Or, maybe, they were not sanguine about her ability to race at top round the tricky corners. She is m among the Queen's Plate lot at Ellerslie on Cup day, and will not lack some support even m that improved class.
