Derby, *^ the Limond colt was withdrawn I owing to his going wrong, but he scored a decisive win m the New Zea- , land Derby. 1 Then at Ellerslie he was unexpectedly beaten into third place m the j Great Northern Derby by Martarma and Laughing Prince. t So Agrion was retired to the stud. His duties m this capacity were light, and Mason has brought him m from the farm to his stables at Rlcs carton, where Agrion is looking lusty and bright, and to all appearances is j sound. 3 If he stands up to it, the Derby s winner will be' prepared for late autumn racing.
