His Way

"The ladles call him. sweet, The stairs, as he treads on them, kiss his feet." BILL SHAKESPEARE was inclined to become a bit too poetioal at times; but you can bet that, when he penned the abovj, he had m mind some decent sort of chap like R. A. Bamadale, late of the National BanK, Gisborne, and now assistant manager of the National Bank, Christchurch. They didn't like it up Gisborne way when R.A.B. was promoted. Not that they grudged him another step up the ladder. Far from it. Only, when Gisborne gets hold of a good man, it likes to keep him. However, bank executives will persist m having the right men m the right place, and, m consequence, Barnsdale steps into his new and important position. Poor old Gisborne.
