A Novel Truck As Police Van

Guy Motors (England) seem to be specializing m unorthodox vehicles. DECENTLY they built a six-wheeler *^ truck fitted with blades for cutting undergrowth m Africa, and now they have supplied the Shanghai Police Department with an armored police van. The vehicle is used when riots and fires occur, and the interior is equipped with axes, crowbars and ladders. Seats are provided along each side of the van for the squad, which consists of five men. A cupboard is at the back of the driver's seat, . from which steps are fixed leading to the gun mounted and. operated from the roof, and a supply of tear-gas and bombs is carried.
