Coming pf good Canterbury stock, Harold has not achieved the public fame that has been the lot of his brothers — Tom, director of dental hygiene, and Lawyer. Bill, who does his stuff m the city by the Avon — but to the commercial world Harold is quiet and solid, and behind his big, cheerful face lies the guarantee of safety and secui-ity — the bond of a fair deal. There is not a square inch of Christchurch that Harold doesn't know or hasn't traversed, and m a life-long association with the real estate business, such matters as land and property values and rising and falling markets, act merely as food for an active brain. Harold's one hobby is bowls — those that you roll along the ground— and, being a believer m the adage that everything is worth doing properly, Harold, though a comparatively' young man, excels at this pastime. . As a companion, Harold's friendship means a lot, for he is of the type that never alters, no matter what the weather be.
