Aquatic Speedster Dowsett (From "N.Z. Truth's" "Wanganui Rep.) r\OWSETT, who has got the national sprint figures somewhere down to a working basis, has not had a great deal of practice so far this year through climatic conditions. In order to enhance his chance of breaking- old figures, Dowsett has decided to take residence temporarily m Wellington. . But the champion .does not. re- , quire a lot of swimming to reach his best form. Two years ago, when he was beaten on touch for the title m Auckland, Dowsett had been m the water only a month. Training had been kept back through a broken leg- m a niotor- cycle accident. The Wanganui speedster will commence training seriously when he arrives m the windy city, while he also intends having a go at the furlong, a distance he has not worried about hitherto.
