For He Is Good Bargain
The Derby winner, Nightmarch, has. had four outings this 'season. LJE started off at Ashburton by run- • nine second to Beau Gest'e, hut his display on that day was by no means inspiring. . " Then he had his next outing at Motukarara and won this time. But again the field was a poor one. The first day at Riccarton he went a really good race to win the Linwood, and he was running on at the finish. This made him a decided Derby hope m the class that was. engaged; But there was only ordinary support for him on the day and he made an awful exhibition of the rest. • . It is said that his oVner, A. Louisson, paid George Kama thousand pounds for Nightmarch. George bred him from his onetime good mare, Marsa — a mar© that won many handicaps down south. . ".-...' Tfie most pleased man would be A. P. Roberts, who owns the sire, Nightraid, for it was the horse's first classic winner.
