ON THEIR OWN
The Open Six Field Up North (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland Rep.) • Given a ,d.ry track, either one if George Paul's pair, Aussie and Awarere, are m the right class to earn a winning bracket m the open sprint at the Dargaville fixture today. only risk is whether they can carry their weights to victory, but anyhow if both go to the post they seem bound to be the favored bracket. It is doubtful if Branson could head either at their best over six furlongs. Oration, Lady's Boy, Tea Time, Billikins, Hyde Park, Ballymoy 11.,. Te Atiawa, The Begum and The Fox are all endowed with sufficient pace to keep the race from resolving itself into a farce. ■•' fJ , Flying Juliet is no lady so far as consistency goes, while T-he Lamb and Scat are a pair which have no performances of late, and may want racing to come to their best. Serang threatens to come back any time, but Yaqui may not be class enough. In the fight at the death, should be Paul's elect, Oration and Lady's Boy.
