WEE WILLIE

Should Win Classic This Week

Little Bill McKinnon came to Trentham m July, got kicked by a horse, or an ant, and won a race. LIE produced a horse called Toxeuma 11 m the Trial Plate, and the said horse was good enough to make a mess of Limerick's half-brother, Roscrea. And on Saturday, Roscrea is going to take on the A.J.C. Derby. But Toxeuma is not going to fly that high on Saturday— he is only going to have a shot at the Hawkes Bay Guineas. Last Saturday, Toxeuma made a mess of a Ijack, field at Napier Park, and it was a fair sort of a Guineas trial. This week there is, not a great deal to account for m the Hastings mile classic. Lucky Light ran a good race at Wanganui — she gave Episode a lot of trouble for seven furlongs, and then ran off the course. Providing she can be negotiated around the turn on Saturday she is the one to trouble Toxeuma. Baskier may be a runner, and then there are Knightlike, Moorgas and Mount Shannon. Not one of this bunch has shown form that would, win a Guineas. So it will have to be left to Wee Willie tp lead m his first classic win- j ner — Toxeuma. ! ' I
