Northerners In The Derby (Prom "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) \ The Great Northern Derby Is the only classical event m the North Island and likely candidates are now being discussed. PERHAPS It would be just as' well to follow the doings of other than already?prpved performers, for it is possible that one not yet raced will be good enough to upset the pot. The daughter of Worthy Bond Is well forward and on present track work will oarry her brightest array when they set out on the chase for the blue ribbon. All thingß given m, she must be capable of extending the majority of the competitors, but probably Sonoma Child, Wrackler, Wrackeen and Grand Light represent a likely quartet The present Is too early to sort out sure starters, but If a vote were taken it would find the quartet mentioned coming m for strongest. support.
