"H.C.M." (Ashburton): The world's record behind motor pace stands to the credit of. John Brunier, who, at the Montilhery Autodronife, Paris, riding behind a specially shielded motor-car, established the record of covering seventy-five miles two hundred arid eighty yards.in the hour. This record was put up. on.November 1; 1925, and has not since been equalled. "Fatty . Lamb, the ex-Australian amateur, held the ten-mile amateur record established at the Motordrome, Melbourne, two years ago. Lamb, rid-, ing behind a motor-cycle," fitted with roller and wind-shield, covered ten miles m ten minutes eleven seconds, and at some parts of the distance was travelling at- the rate of sixty-three miles per hour.. At a later date Lamb attacked the world's record behind motor-cycle and had covered nine miles m eight minutes eighteen' seconds when he met with mishap. His highest speed during the nine miles was equal to 65.65 miles per hour, while his lowest speed was 63.17 miles per hour. "Forester" (Culverden): (1) No; (2) Yes.
