TWO newcomers to Sydney, Kid * Socks, of England, and Charlie von Reeden, of America, filled the bill on Saturday. Von Reeden, tall and lathy, completely outclassed the Englishman from beginning to end. He outreached, outsped and outhit Socks without difficulty.' Over the concluding stages Socks. was hard put to evade punishment, and the fact that von Reeden was not a deadly hitter alone saved Kid from a kayo.
