"HOW LONG— ?"
The Electric Tote Must Gome Soon (From '"'N.Z.. Truth's" Special Auckland Kep.) The hope expressed m some circles that "Truth" has given up its agitation for the installation of an automatic totalisator at Alexandra Park ends only with the ■ hope. < ■ "TRUTH" does not intend to let the •*■ matter drop until the demands of trotting enthusiasts are- granted and the more expeditious service is a reality. It is up to the A.T.C. to face the matter boldly and not keep stalling off enthusiasts. - Attempting to make them believe < that the erection of the electric contrivance is outside financial limits is eyewash. ■ . ' Surely* some means can be devised to foot the bill necessary to provide the betting public with its just rights? If not, a more progressive body of committeemen is .wanted at the head of affairs. . ■ ... ' That is .really all there is to it.
