She is m work with a view to racing at Addington next month. # * # Sea Pearl has been retired to the stud. #* _ * Loch Moigh is engaged m sprint eyents at Addington, and he will win one. # # # The aged gelding, Locanda Mac, has rejoined G. S. Smith's stable at New Brighton. Smith thoroughly understands the son of Brent Locanda and may get him to strike form, Locanda Mac has an Auckland Trotting Cup to his credit. # * # The pacing stallion, Waverley, has been purchased by J. MacConnel, of Otautau. # # • Ahurlri is carrying a lot of condition. He is getting through solid work and may sport silk at August. # # # Machine G_in is carrying more condition than usual, and is m fine order for the new season's racing. Machine Gun has raced best on the Auckland track. # "* * F. Holmes has made a 6tart on that good pacer, Eugene de Oro. When first trained, the son of Rey de Oro exhibited exceptional ability. Since then, he has had a good spell and one can expect him to turn out a top-notcher next season. ## : # Though not much to look at, Carbine Direct has enough toe and stamina to win a race, but he is a moody customer, and one that few would be game to invest much money on. v # • • One of the ablest young horses m commission is Donard. ' He is a brilliant pacer and two miles ls no trouble I to' 'him. He is one of the best propositions m New Zealand. # # # No. horse at Addington has been working better than Sarella, and if she does not win a race at the August meeting, several track watchers at Addington will have to look for work. # * *.. If Direct Morning is a horse at all, he will win a sprint at Addington. He has lightning speed, and D. Bennett has him chock full of good oats. #y■ • * .Though, far from §m oil painting to look at, it must , be conceded that Matagouri is a good horse, and one capable of effecting many surprises. He. has : developed a lot of speed, and. he can stay all day. , # *...■# J. J. Kennerley has improved Nelson McElwyn, and this highly-bred pacer is doing exceptionally well. # * # That good young pacer, -Revolt, which showed a lot of promise at the winter meeting at Forbury, is . likely to come to Addington to race. Revolt is a stoutly-built pacer and stays on better than most horses do. m m • W. ,F. Tomkinson has Vestas m wonderful order" and H: f\a only ! a question of the gelding racing kindly to win prizes. ». * : • ' Concliff has been showing signs of soreness m his work, and had to be eased. That is not too bright a happening to start the new season with. # . * . *. Peter Bingen has been responsible for a lot of solid toil at Addington, and he is thriving on it. ' #:#',*,. Kempton is a really good trotter over a mile and a-half, and one that has improved under C. Donald. # .*. * R. McDonald is going to try and. win a mile saddle race with Event. # * # The aged chestnut sprinter, Auguste Dillon, is being polished up for a mile saddle contest next season. He is a brilliant pacer with the weight on top. ■ # '"'.*';' * Hector's Own is to try to capture a mile m saddle, and with that end m view he has been engaged at Addington next month.
