Noted Light-Harness Nursery Closing '/■ ("By '"The Toff.") New Zealand is to lose one of its famous light harness nurseries. MESSRS: STEVENSON and McMath * of Riversdale, have decided to cease breeding trotters and pacers. This means that their collection of brood mares, numbering 13, will have to be sold. Among them are Pleasant Drive, dam of Dalmeny and Dalnahine, Queen's Drive, dam of Black Admiral, Win Soon, winner of the New .Zealand trotting Clip m- 1914, and Lady Rothsoon. During the many years they have been m the game, Messrs. Stevenson' and McMath have' bred several * high-class horses. In addition to' Win Soon, Black Admiral, Dalmeny and Dalnahine they have raised Harold Thorpe, Shine Soon, Logan's Driye, Direct Wave, Will Soon, Brown Admiral, Playsoon, Fair Lad, ' Winning Point, Lady Rothsoon, Queen's Drive, and Dark Drive. Along with ..the brood mares, the farm's sire, WaVerley, will be sold. But the 4.0 young horses on the place will be educated and developed before being placed on the market.
