Nelson Fame bit. the dust hard when on a record-breaking attempt at Epsom, while Tui Zolock fell when an accident occurred early this season. If falls bring about competitors' deaths, then one or two owners m Auckland, will be on their , toes. Western King and Amaris (both m the same ownership) and liuvan, are three of a speedy kind that have met mother earth with a wallop recently. However, these- look all right to the eye, but it would be easy to understand the respective owners wondering if the falls they experienced will give them an early journey to the land where the wopdbine twineth not and the mawpawk moans for its mate. . -i ' * F.
