New Thermometer The importance of maintaining proper engine temperature to enable the power unit to function at its full value has been stressed m these columns on many occasions. T TNFORTUNATEI_Y,~it is not feasible for the driver to know exactly the temperature of the water of his engine unless a special means is utilized. This so far has not been possible, but a new instrument has been placed on the market, and will probably be available here shortly. It is a 'thermometer fltted into the header tank at the tpp of the radiator, but it gives readings on a small dial fixed to the instrument board. Th© reading is correct to one degree, so that the driver can thus . see m a moment almost the exact heat of the cooling water. The instrument will be far more useful than the usual run of heat indicators which are fixed into the radiator cap. Nearly every engine is run too cold, particularly m winter, and the new radiator thermometer will demonstrate this fact very readily, and will, therefore, serve really a double purpose. Woods' Great Peppermint Cure First Aids for coughs, colds, influenza.*
