Brown; at right full-back, played a sound defensive game for the Saints, and, as. in the rep. match, on Monday last, it was his hefty kicking and clever defence that saved the side, a lot of trouble. The greatest surprise of the day was the defeat of Flock House; by Athletic — and not only a defeat but a very sound one. It will be exceedingly interesting to see the result of the match between the House and U.S.A. '; : '
