Feu and he'll toll you that John is one of the best — also one of the brightest.

He came from the, Channel Isles originally and has been 'in Christchurch since he was a wee chap.

His business is one of those steady, progressive ones that seem to be linked with the city's development. For many moons, it has steadily grown — thanks to the charm and personality of its proprietor.

As a citizen, nothing is too much trouble for John Dv Feu. As a councillor, he took his share of the work — and a very large share at that. As one interested m the welfare of the people, he has helped along many a deserving causes. . ; /

Every man has a skeleton m his Clipboard — and how, as if to spoil it all, wo will mention Dv Feu's passion for bowls.

It is i-umored that on one i occasion he finished an interesting game with the aid of a box of matches.
