pHRISTCHURCH, that city where V/ English traditions and customs
hold sway, is all the better for having George Ferris m its boundaries. For were it not for George, there wou^ld be many wireless enthusiasts who wouldn't know what to do.
Ferris is from Oireland and ■ during the war he was among those present. After the Big Scrap, he decided to come to New Zealand and to-day we find him m a tidy little business all his own. George has mastered the art of "service" and he'll tell you himself that it pays m the long run. An elocutionist of more than usual ability, Ferris is- occasionally "on the air."
He wisely keeps to light stuff, as classics lose half their "kick" when the artist is out of sight. Altogether a very useful man to know — especially when "the set" is jibbing.
