WATCH THOSE PENALTIES
MEW YEAR racing starts on Saturday, though the calendar ' says that 1928 does not jump off till Sunday. But whatever day the New Year meetings open, the fact remains that acceptances hay© closed some time back. This can only mean that horses which have won over the Christmas period are liable to either re-handicap or a penalty clause. So followers are warned to be on the alert— acceptances t already published are sure tl> be altered in manv ways. JL
