ULTRA-CONFIDENCE PAYS NOT

(By Cable. —From "N.Z. Truth's" Specal Sydney Representative.) f\N Monday evening Lachie McDonald (11.4), outpointed Bruno Frattini Stadium. The New Zealander was ultra-confident in the early rounds and smiled when the Italian attempted to check him, but in the sixth round the smile left him. Frattini hit him t)n the throat and followed up. with a wild swing to the jaw. The Italian community went wild, but Frattini tired and appeared to have no chance when the fourteenth round began. This spasm was sensational. The Italian cut both Mac's eyes open and the New Zealander was lucky to see out the round. He walked away from Frattini in a dream. The gong saved him, but both were done like a dinner. Neither was strong enough to win by a knockout in the fifteenth and a points decision went to McDonald.
