MINOR EVENTS

RAILWAY FANCY Paganelli is liked a lot.

Look Over Waipa Fields (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland Rep.) For minor events at the Waipa meeting on Saturday, winners are not easy to find; TF Lord Star keeps sound he may be •*• an improved horse with Taumarunui efforts and take the Pirongia Hurdles. Uralla and Athenry are a pair with the necessary pace down near the bottom of the weights. Kawa has not- raced for some little time, while Gold Rep. is on the.improve. Awarere is one in form to show up in the Kikikihi, with Miss Potoa and King Smock as a likely pair. Of the Waipa Plate lot, little is known. This race should favor a two-year-old so be on the look-out. Mauriaena is one of them. If caught at his best, Scat is nicely placed for victory in ( the Faterangi Handicap from Pita and Quincoma. Slaosi's form has not been as brilliant as of former days, while War is not always reliable. It looks as if the Orakau Hack may be a division, and they are not a great lot to choose from. Orchus, Waltzer and Abbey Day may be a trio worthy of consideration. The Flying is tough with Aussie and Paganelli on the top. They may not risk penalties for the Railway. Nancy Lee, Tea Time and Macroom all have winning form. The Ohaupo may go to Miss Potoa if reserved, but form in the Kikikihi earlier in the day should throw Dome light on this race. Hipo is in both.
