WHEN Leslie Herbert George Pitcher obtained a position with a travelling company this year, his wife, Phyllis Catherine, thought that ithe least he would do would be to write to her, but he failed to do so. He was also expected to return to his wife and two children, but • he had other ideas. Leslie was not even able to find, time to answer|her letters, but he ' did condescend'to. send a wire saying in, reply to hers that he was > "too busy to write." :• •'. Having married his wife in London in 1919, she told " ; the Court, *■ they had lived in Dunedin and then, come to Auckland,' and now that he had. found his work so engaging he had left her to work for and keep their two children. - . , Hence, she asked for an order for restitution of conjugal rights, her own supplications having fallen , . on .deaf ears. When he returned to Auckland In August they had met •by arrangement in Queen Street, and he had taken that opportunity to tell his wife that he did not intend to live with her any \onQer. His Honor or.id.ered the wandering - Leslie to return to his wife within fourteen days, and also to pay the costs of the -proceedings!-.,
