ANOTHER ONE

Limond Filly With Pace George Currie has pensioned Absurd off, but he has Limond to carry on the good work. THE Desmond horse has been a * great success at stud and practically everything he has left has shown exceptional galloping ability. Another of the breed bobbed up at Feilding last week. This was Episode, a chestnut filly with more than the average white about her. She Is out of Homage, which is a full-sister to Epitaph and Eulalie, and* a half-sister to Commendation. To get the services of Bert Morris a good chunk of overweight was put up, and it was worth it. Morris either anticipated the barrier rise or Episode began with exceptional brilliancy, for once the tapes lifted it was a case of shut the gate. It was not a race and Episode simply strolled home. Episode is to go to Ellerslie, where she will be well and truly tested m the Foal Stakes. She has some speedy youngsters to meet, but she will be far from disgraced. And, what is more, the racing there will improve her a great deal.
