Man With A Bag.
DOWN around the Training College m Dunedin, there walks a man
with a little black bag. To the newcomer, this offers the possibility of an intriguing mystery; but this fades away when he is told that, m the bag, are only school-papers and that the man carrying it is one James Fleming, of the Training College, Dunedin. J.F. is well-known m the academic city. His ability as a teacher is recognized sufficiently enough to need no comment. He knows his job, and has the entire faith of his students. Every year, the examination results prove that he is working along the right lines. For a little relaxation, he turns to elocution and his voice is heard, with intense dramatic force, m Shakespearian works. He recites as he teaches — free from any suggestion of the mechanical.
Altogether, too good a man for the southern centre to lose.
