TURNED OUT

Commendation To

Have Spell

It is very unlikely that the 1 Limond gelding, Commendation, will be seen m action again this season.

YJJ7HEN 'he came home from his" Syd- • ney trip he had fallen away m condition and he looked 'anything but a racehorse.

After one look at him it was easy to see that the chance of his racing at Christmas was ' remote indeed.

Still he was railed back to Greenmeadows, and back m his home quarters he started to build up again.

Then came some feet trouble, and rather than take any risks it was decided to send the big fellow down to his owner's station at Oringi for a spell. ,* This means that Commendation will not be seen out again this season.

Just how he fares while eating the oats of idleness depends his future programme.

That his owner is keen to go back to Sydney and show that the horse was many removes from himself on the previous visit is well known.

The experience gained this spring was valuable to both Owner Gaisford and Trainer Jones.
