The Spring Plate always brings together a big field of horses with the necessary credentials. Teri won the Carterton Cup from end to end and with, his lightweight will be a nuisance. After her win at Rangiora, Sudden Storm will be liked by those present at that meeting. Hoylake, Satrap and Vigilance make up another trio with pace. The finish of the race more often than not, gives the judge something hard to do. This year- three that may make his task unenviable are DUKE ABBEY, TERI and LADYKILLER,
