EASY MONEY Limerick And The W.F.A. Cups

Limerick will be seen m action at Riccarton for the first time since he accounted for Commendation m the Challenge Stakes. THE Limond gelding will get his first race m the long-distance Canterbury Cup on the Wednesday. Generally this race falls away to a three-runners event. With the champion m this year, there will possibly be the same state of affairs prevailing. On the last day of the meeting he will probably meet with more competition m the Stead Gold Cup. The shorter journey will appeal to owners and they may elect to give the champion a race. Not that many will seriously think they have a chance of downing him. There is no trophy attached to the Canterbury Cup, but there is the usual fine gold cup m the Stead Memorial. Owner Knight will not be incon- ■ venienced to find a place for it.
