Jumpers To Run At Trentham

'< With the grounds getting hard, it is natural to expect a fallingaway in races for jumpers. TN getting a dozen acceptors for the Hurdles on Saturday, the Wellington club can be well pleased with itself. In addition to that number, there is also the added attraction of a bit of quality. Two horses that promise to be well supported are Brigadier Bill and Anchor — both from Marton. The former won the second day at Wanganui over a similar distance, while Anchor won a two-mile race at Ellerslie and won in great style. Tarleton has two successes to his credit at small meetings down south, and, though it is said he is touched in the wind, that will not prevent many from supporting him. Santiago is coming back after a long spell and he can be passed by. One liked better than him is Kaikahu, which — if he repeated his National Hurdles running — would be the hardest to beat. Koauau has failed repeatedly of late, while the rest below him are only of hack class. That should not be good enough to win this race. Horses with the recent form are "ANCHOR BRIGADIER BILL and TARLETON.
