TOO MANY

Big Field In Hack Seven

I For everybody concerned, the field in the. Rimutaka Handicap on Saturday is too big. OVER thirty have been paid up for and even allowing for a fair number of withdrawals there is still going to be a bundle of runners left. It is hard enough at any time without having to contend with such unwieldy races. Having won twice on end, Rowley will be entrusted with the cash and now that the Opaki horse has started right he may continue on. King Midas is showing form — as indeed are all Moroney's horses, while Lady Killer won at her first start this season — at Taratahi last Saturday. Vigilance would be liked better in the six-furlong race, but the distance will not worry Kilmiss. Blimp and Rotowhero have won maiden races this season, but they may not be up to this class. Mandarine with a change of stables ran second at Taratahi and at the same meeting Tone was in a minor position. Oratrix and Limosa are placegetters around the country circuit. Riders and post positions will have to be considered. Horses that appear to ha^e chances ROWLEY and LADY KILLER.

MOVENT GARDEN must come home ln a sprint shortly. He has the speed and is down near the bottom of the poundayt. ,
