PORIRUA STABLE
The Porirua stable, which at one time was the leading training establishment m New Zealand, is to be continued under the guidance of D. Prosser, who is expected to make a worthy successor to his father, the late J. H. Prosser. T*\AVE has always been associated with his father and the knowledge gained after many years' experience of the thoroughbred should be the means of again bringing this old-time training depot prominently before the racing public. The stable had four representatives at Otaki — Twink, Little Queen, Mandy and Kilmoyler, all of which bore a capital appearance. The quartet all showed up well. Mandy and Kilmoyler ran third m their races, being beaten by narrow margins, while Twink and Little Queen created favorable impressions. Their turn for a success should arrive m the near future. QREAT CHARTER had the ground to his liking when he failed m the G.Nk. Guineas, but Catkin did not. The tatter's feet were giving Trainer J. Lowe a deal of anxiety. Prior to the gathering Catkin was getting through most . of his work on the tan.
