Zenda' Claim
IF married men will insist on 1 straining at the leash of their matrimonial bonds, they must be prepared to face the consequences. R. Knight, a driver, of Hamilton, comes within this category. He did not face the court m person when the result of his illicit love was the subject of a request for maintenance at Auckland the other day, but retained Lawyer Moody to place his position before the magistrate. Lawyer Sullivan was there to watch the interests of the other party, Zenda Amelia Lawrence, and he asked for maintenance for the child, which was born last July, with medical expenses — £14. . Knight finds now that he has to pay 6/- a week out of £4/10/- for his waywardness, despite the fact that two lawful children and a wife have their claim upon his earnings. He has also to do what he can about the £14.
